LEATHER
Leather is a natural and noble material and the aspect can change from hide to hide.
We are selecting our leathers with great care, only the first quality is good enough.
This season we have been using black, marine, dark brown, tan and olive vegetable tanned leather.
From the start we have been using natural vegetable tanned leather, that naturally develops a patina overt time. With exposure to sunlight and applying oil suitable for leather will expedite the process. This maturing makes each bag unique and amplifies the products beauty.

Mahiout have since the beginning been using cotton canvas and oiled canvas from a French mill that is specialized in producing heavy-duty fabrics for the military for decades. Their materials are rough, but yet refined. The oiled cotton canvas is water repellent and will age gracefully.
We are offering each season our classic color scale, consisting of black, dark green and brown oiled cotton and dark beige and olive cotton canvas. Every season we are also introducing new colors.

LEATHER
Keep your product out of direct sunlight or heat for a long periode of time, it will dry and the leather can crack. For surface dirt, wipe clean with a soft cloth. If the leather gets wet, pat it ligtly with a dry cloth and let it dry, never use heat as it can damage the leather. For minor scruffs use leather care and conditioner, we also recommend to do this every six months to avoid that the leather drys out.
CANVAS
For surface dirt, wipe clean with a damp cloth. Never scrub or brush on a singular spot on your bag as this may case irregular discoloring. Treat all stain immeditely.
